December 2011 Activities!

December! Christmas! Adoption! Birthday! December was going to be busy, but we were so excited to spend our first December with Cody. Being a bit strapped this holiday season, I tried my hardest to find "frugal" activities for the family to do for Christmas.

Our bank had Festival of Trees tickets, so I went and got some, I thought that might be fun and help us to get into the holiday spirit. The last time I was at the Festival of the Trees was many years ago when my Young Women group donated a tree to the cause (which I will always remember).

Cody and his bio-sister get together once in a while, and for Christmas we decided to decorate cookies. We were surprised when Cody's oldest bio-brother called and asked if he could come to the party. We had never met Cody's brother, so this was pretty exciting.

Riley's gingerbread house from our ward party. I couldn't resist posting these.
Riley is so original in her creations.
Here is my house from the ward party! I had a little help from Cody.
This Christmas, we were so blessed. We had so many that showed us love, and we will never forget this Christmas. We were given the "Twelve Days of Christmas," by two families...we felt so guilty that another family was not being blessed, but the kids were having so much fun, and they deserved it...I feared Christmas was going to be hard this year, so I thought, "let them have this fun now."
The first day of Christmas was this tree...and they decorated it with something
else every night.

Christmas break was finally here! Here is the "gang" exchanging gifts. I love
these kids so much!
