Riley's Baptism October 2011

If you do not know who this stunningly beautiful child is, then you must not read my blog often enough! This is my Riley, she turned 8 in August, and Baptized in October of 2011. The day was amazing, I was so proud of my child, she is really turning into an amazing person. Riley loves church, loves helping others, loves making people smile, loves Christ.

Riley has a small, but simple Testimony of the gospel...and it is blooming EVERYDAY! Riley teaches me how to trust, how to smile, and love through her examples.

Riley came home from school the other day, and asked where her old Halloween costumes were, and I simply asked, "why?" She replied, "because, there is a boy in my class who never has a costume, and I want to give him my old ones." Riley is always thinking of others, she amazes me with her compassion, she will grow up to be an amazing young woman, and mother someday; I can't wait to see how she turns out.

Riley's Baptism was beautiful, she was beautiful. Chris baptized and confirmed Riley, and I instantly had thoughts of the day we were sealed to Riley in the Provo Temple, her little chubby hands, asleep on the alter as we were made into a family forever...she was only 10-months-old.

As we bore our testimonies on this day, after the confirmation, I cried tears of joy, as I realized how blessed I was to have this amazing young girl in my life. I will forever thank my Heavenly Father for trusting me with her and her spirit. As I bore my testimony, I thought of all the trials that I went through to have Riley in my home, and it was worth every moment. I bare my testimony to you, that God lives, Christ is our brother and loves us. The Holy Ghost will guide us if we are willing to listen. I am thankful for my children and the joy they bring into my life. I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for the time I have with my beautiful children.
