Pumpkin Patch and Gardener Village's Ride to a Witch! October 2011

Fall and Halloween, one of my most favorite seasons of the year. I love the cool chill in the air, the anticipation of the upcoming holidays, and the time of year when you spend time with your family doing fun traditions. One tradition that we have is going to Pumpkin Point Farms, and Gardner Village. The kids love going on the "Ride to a Witches' House." This was Cody's first year with us during Fall, and he loved every minute of it; from his previous homes he wasn't really allowed to celebrate the holiday of Halloween...so he gobbled it up! Since money was tight, I had to save up for a bit to make sure that we could go on these outings, but man, was it worth it! I love the smiles on the kids' faces, and the memories that they are making...and hope that they will pass on traditions, like these, with their kids someday.

The kids were brave to let Chris drive them in the wagon.
He couldn't really see where he was going!
"Which one?"

Posing at Gardner Village.

The ticket to get on the ride was a cockroach!

Cody wasn't too thrilled that I made him pose with
the witch!
A picture of me and Riley!

On the wagon to the Witches' House with Grandma Turner.
There was just a random man who was dressed
as the bad guy in "The Princess and the Frog."  Riley
was Tiana.

My boys.
My babies.
No! This is not me!

We took this in the front yard, and it just came out beautiful!
