Happy 15th Anniversary (June 14th) October 2011

Fifteen years? I barely learned to drive! Where did the time go? How can I be married for 15 years all ready! Chris and I married each other on June 14, 1996. Since Chris has had surgeries we didn't get to celebrate our Anniversary until October! I enjoyed my ride up Sundance with Riley so much, I wanted to take Chris up in the Fall colors and sunset...it was so wonderful to have no distractions on the whole ride, and to take in the beautiful scenery. Here are some pictures of our ride. In honor of the 15 years of marriage, I am going to list 16 (because I wrote this thinking we had been married 16 years, but only 15!) adventures that Chris and I have had...I hope I can remember I am so old now!

1. When Chris was in the band, "Southbound," we were at a bar in Cedar and Chris and Tim (singer) had to pull a drunk guy off me. The dude was hitting on me all night, and it was so cute to see Chris and Tim "rescue" me. Chris was in a contest with the band, and it was so fun...they got on the radio and everything.

2. Driving home from Utah County one night, late one night, Chris was asleep at the wheel and started snoring...we will never know just how long he drove like that, I am sure glad he is better at driving asleep, than awake. Ha.

3. I guess, this should have been number 1, but going on the adventure of adopting Riley...traveling from Utah to Nevada, Nevada to Tennessee, Tennessee to Kentucky, Kentucky to Ohio, and back again! So fun. The blessings and miracles, I will never forget...and my sweet Riley.

4. Adopting Cody last December, and the miracle of how he came into our lives.

5. Disneyland in 1997, just with Chris, we rode all the rides and acted like children, so fun...and the Reba/ Brad Paisley concert Chris surprised me with for my birthday.

6. Getting married in the St. George Temple, my dream Temple.

7. Buying our home in Lehi, and making it our "own." Planting the garden, mowing the grass, painting the walls, it is ours!

8. Grand Canyon at Sunset.

9. Going to SUU (Southern Utah University) together.

10. Sleeping in, having the sun on our face from our bedroom window in Cedar City...no kids waking us up. Oh, the memories, and a full nights sleep, after partying all night at the bar or watching movies.

11. Four-Wheeling in Central Utah, tipping the 4-Wheeler over on us. Chris saving me. Oh...my hero. Having a cow wonder into our campsite and Chris save me from the "beast." Holding really still so the skunk outside our tent wouldn't spray! I love camping with my family.

12. My miscarriage in 1996 on Christmas Eve, having Chris hold me.

13. Watching Titanic in the front row of the theater, looking up Leo's nose, crying sitting next to a 12-year-old who was laughing during the drowning scene.

14. Our many fights, our many laughs, sticking together through it all. The many remotes that were destroyed in the making of our marriage. Many they rest in peace.

15. In 2006, I totally busted up my shoulder, I was in a sling for months and months...Chris had to step it up and be my right hand, literally. He had to help me do everything! He was such a trooper.

16. Foster Care, and the roller coaster it can have on a marriage.

Happy Anniversary Chris! Here is to many more adventures!

Update: I just realized, I I have only been married for 15 years, I thought it was 16, I came back and changed the title!
