So, I posted about March, April, now onto May....the dreaded month. This is the month that it all changed for our family. It started out normal...busy and fun, with the anticipation of summer. It all started with Soccer, outings at the park, birthday parties, then the phone call that Chris needed emergency Retina attachment surgery. He was only suppose to be out of work for two weeks; he hasn't been back to work since, it is now April 2012. This month was the start of many trials to come....but we are staying strong and pushing forward.

More sticks! Playing in the Jordan River, skipping rocks...and getting wet! |

"Don't fall in Wiley!" |
 |
...with a little help, Cody finally got in the water! |
 |
...now he has the hang of it! |

"Tow-mater," suckers! |

Isn't he handsome with those giant teeth? |

They say, couples start to look alike after a few years. |

One of our Foster kids' birthday parties, "J" was turning 3! |

The dreadful first surgery. This is the first of several surgeries. This was the retina reattachment. It may look gross...sorry. |
 |
He can't see a thing, poor guy. |
 |
Still can't see, notice the puffy eye. I feel bad that he has had to endure these trials. This is at Riley's baseball practice. |
My daughter asked me, as I was reading this, how you find children to adopt. I told her the best I could that some day we will find other children that need a home and she is very excited! Brook, you are such a wonderful mom and example to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're blogging again! I've missed your wise words. I know that some things are hard to blog about, but keep it up, you will be so glad you did when you look back on it. Don't forget that Heavenly Father knows we can do hard things. WE might not think we can, but he believes in us. I see the pictures of your beautiful family and my heart is so full of love for all of you. Despite your trials, there is happiness and great love in your home. It is evident in your words and your faces. I love you.
