My heart is full at the moment, and I just wanted to share this with you this Sunday morning.
Riley and I had a conversation a couple of days ago about making "messes;" me telling her that she needed to stop cutting up papers and leaving them all over the house! On these papers she writes, "I love mom," "Happy Birthday Mom," and all kinds of random love notes, mostly around holidays. I truly love the notes, but after so many of them...I get tired of picking them up. They make a MESS! I am sure you all have experienced this type of behavior in your little ones.
Well, my heart is so full because of the following video that I would like to share with you this morning. I know the video is a little sad, but I have come away from this video with much appreciation for my Riley and her "messes." I will miss the day when I can't find the handwritting of my 1st grader on bits of paper all over the house with notes of love on them. I think I am going to rethink my chat with Riley...and let her make all the mess she wants with her love notes.
I hope you come away from this video with appreciation for your own "messes."
Here is just a note Riley recently made for me...it is about a black cat.
P.S. Google Reader was not updating my blog on your blog reading list, I wrote my 100th post last week that some of you did not see on your blog list. I hope they figure out this bug!

Hey! Thank you so much for letting me know that my form isn't working! The company I use is having some issues and it's killing me! I've fixed the premade layout form if you want to try again though.
ReplyDeleteSorry!
AHHH That's so frustrating! I'm so sorry! I was just told that all my layouts are fixed and I tried it. It seemed to work for me. If you can't get it to work still you can just email me at Leelou@leeloudesigns.com
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry!
Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteIt made me cry.
It was so sweet.
How sweet is that precious little girl. Life can be so sad sometimes that these kinds of things help you to keep hanging on.
