Hello all! I hope you all are having a great "rainy" summer! Can you believe all this rain? Anyway, we still have been really busy, and it has been great. I can't believe how the old saying, "the older they get, the busier you are," is coming true! However, I wouldn't change it for the world!
Here are some pictures for you to see of our summer so far:
Riley's dance festival at her school, the last full day before summer!

Here is Riley's last day of Kindergarten...and her little teacher gift we made. She got to ride the "big" kid bus on the last day of school:
Here are some pictures of one of a few sunny days in June. We finally were able to swim. I thought these pictures were so funny. Notice naked Barbie swimming with Riley, and when they were done, it was so funny, Riley was laying in the sun...and naked Barbie was laying out too! So funny. What is it with little girls and naked Barbies?
Here are some pictures from a trip to the park (on my birthday), with Becky and the girls:
We had some fun at Kangaroo with Olivia and Caroline!
For Father's Day and just for a day of fun....we went to "Color Me Mine!" It was so much fun, we can't wait to go back again! I even enjoyed painting, and so did Aunt Amy (she wouldn't allow pictures of her!).
So, for my birthday Chris got me a new 4-wheeler helmet, which I didn't need (shhh), and I got some money from family and friends. So, I decided that I would return the helmet (shhh) and use the money I got for my birthday and buy Riley a new pool....we love it! Here is Riley trying to manage on her floaty.
Then, of course, it was our city festival...so, Becky and I decided to take the girls to the Bird Show, again. This year so many people were there it was not as good as last year, but I think Riley still enjoyed it...Riley is in the crowd, it is kinda hard to see her.
We have really enjoyed our "own" backyard this summer. When we are hot we get in the pool, and we BBQ, and hang out with each other, it has been so much fun! Here is Riley at one of our BBQs after swimming, she loves her goggles so much she forgot to take them off while eating, I thought it was pretty cute.
We helped out with the float in our ward this year, and it was a lot of work, but it was fun to spend that time with Riley. Riley really enjoyed being in the truck with me when I had to pull it from the parade route to Becky's house, and back again to the parade route on Saturday...I think Riley felt like it was her "job" to help me pull the float, and she took this "job" very seriously. She would sit in the truck and watch the float so it didn't fall off the back of the truck. Here are some pictures of the parade and rodeo (Saturday night):
So...that is our summer so far! I will blog more soon....Riley is doing well in t-ball, and she just learned how to ride a two-wheeler without training wheels! We are enjoying time together as a family, and can't wait to see what fun comes of the rest of this "rainy" summer! I hope all of you are having a great summer!
Very Cool! We are coming for swimming, or at least I wish we were! Your backyard seems like it is HUGE.
