Baseball season! I have been waiting for this day since I found out Riley was coming to our home...for those of you that know me, I LOVE Baseball, I LOVE playing and watching it, there is just nothing better than the smell of grass and leather at the ball park. NOTHING!
So, I have paitently waited while Riley played Soccer, did some dance stuff, but now it is Baseball season (at least for t-ballers).
Riley and I practiced all day last Wednesday, we practiced hitting, catching, running, throwing, and of course the rules (it is a little hard for her to understand, but I think she is getting it).
Okay, for those of you that think I am living through Riley (I am a little), but she really does enjoy it, and that makes me so happy! Riley really enjoys running and hitting (really far I might add), and is getting better at throwing (she hit me in the chest and it hurt...ha), and I think we are going to have fun with t-ball. YEA!
So, if any of you drive by Riley's school and see a mom with a smile the size of a watermelon, that would be me. I am so excited that Riley gets to grow-up in a society where girls are able to play sports, not like when I was a kid, like I have said before, my parents had to fight to get me on the boys t-ball team when I was Riley's age (thanks mom and dad). Good luck Riley!
Here are some pictures of Riley's first t-ball practice, notice how the hat just won't stay on because of her hair...too cute.

very cute!
ReplyDeleteThere nothing wrong about living your dream in your child's. Its goos to show what you like.
I wish my kids would still let me do that!
Very Cute! Riley is adorable! When they are little it is ok to live a little through them. You are a fantastic mom!
ReplyDeleteBrandsen just had his first T-ball practice today. Who is Riley's coach? Where does she play at?
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna be the same way! except with tennis! I love the smell of tennis fuzz in the morning and opening a new can of balls! ah, memories!
ReplyDeleteI love her hat so much! It's so cute! We'll have to get together soon! We miss you guys.
I too am glad that "girls" get a chance to play w/ the boys! I look at how McKelle has excelled w/ hockey and she puts most of the boys to shame that she plays with! Go Riley!!!! Show those boys how awesome girls are! Remember anything those boys can do, us girls will do 10 times better...and with finesse!
