Chris, Riley, and I love to drive in the Mountains and these are some pics of our latest drive. This view is of the Northern Valley (if you look close you can see the "big" city in the distance.)
This is a picture of the clouds surrounding Mt. Timp.

Riley getting her Valentines ready for school. She had to write her first and last name a lot!
For Valentines Day, Chris and I enjoy spending time with Riley. I think we figure we had so many years of Valentines alone, we want to share it with our family instead. Every year Riley gets so excited because we get to have a "light-up dinner." We get Chinese food and light candles and get the fancy wine glasses out, place mats and everything! We fill our wine glasses with chocolate milk for Riley...and she loves it! There is nothing better than spending Valentines Day with a 5-year-old.

Last week for Scouts, I was very honored to have my Brother-in-law and his family come and perform for my den. Eric comes from the Cheyenne Heritage, and came to talk about his life as a Native American. My beautiful neices also performed their own dances. This picture is of Nika performing.
Mahone performing her "jingle dance."
Eric performing a very difficult, but awesome "hoop dance."
Desi, my sister-in-law told me that Eric uses up to 21 hoops!
Just watching Eric, I was tired!
First sign of spring! We headed out to the park last Friday!
Yay! We can play outside!
Notice the snow is not stopping us....
...or the mud,
....or the puddles! Riley was soaking after...but it was nice being outside again!
You guys are busy! I love the picture of her hanging on the swing over the water. Best picture EVER! I just want to squeeze her!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful way to spend Valentine's to me! Riley is lucky to have the two of you! I think that is awesome to have someone who can share their heritage with you and be passing it on to their family. Have a wonderful week!
