Memory Monday....snow!

1979, and I was 3....boy that makes me feel old. When I was a kid, I had a pretty fun childhood, thanks to my mom and dad. My parents always made sure that we had lots of activities and experiences as a family, and these pictures just represent one of those times.
Since we had a ton of snow today, I thought this memory was pretty fitting. These pictures are of my brother Wes and I with my parents snow sledding out at West Mountain. I remember those days like they were yesterday. We always had the best time sledding. My dad always found the largest hills, and boy was it fun. There were no people either, the nearest person sledding was a mile away, those were the days! I even remember sledding up at the point of the mountain, you know where all those huge homes are now, yep, we used to sled to our hearts content down those giant hills! Stupid homes.
Then, when I turned 12 we turned sledding up a notch....4-wheelers! My brother would pull me around in the fields all day. The fields that I and my neighbors now live in....kinda sad to see those fields gone. One time I do remember, my brother got going pretty fast.....then slammed on the brakes! Bam! There I was kissing the muffler of the wheeler...yes, he was in trouble with my mom. I was not letting him get away with that!
Anyway, we continue to love sledding. My dad pulls Riley around in his backyard with his wheeler, and she loves it; I even hop on from time-to-time (when my butt can take it!) Chris even lets me pull him around in our backyard with our 4-wheeler, except when I ram him into the fence... baby (hee hee.)
Riley loves the snow...and I do too. We spent most of the day today just goofing around in the snow. We managed to make our mountain of snow (we are competing with Becky for the biggest hill) really tall, and perfect for sliding down! We always end the day with hot cocoa and marshmallows....can that get any better?

Memories, it is what it is all about! Bring it on!

P.S. Just to keep you posted....Riley lost her first tooth today! I will blog about that in a couple days. She needs to stop growing....my emotions can't keep up! I thought Kindergarten was hard. Courtney...how did you deal with Brandsen loosing 2? He is so little!
