Out with Summer....IV.

Well, to continue on with my "series" of our summer. Hopefully, you guys are not running, screaming from your computer! I know we always seem to talk about our kids, or what we are doing, but when that is all you do with your life...there you have it. I will be done soon! Hopefully, you enjoy looking at the pictures of Riley, and how much she is growing.

The Fourth of July:

The fourth of July this year was a little different, but still the same. The fourth of July always has the same ending...fireworks; kind of like the movie Titanic (it always sinks {sorry to ruin it for you}). We had dinner with some good friends, let Riley swim and play with her friend, did some old fashioned street fireworks, then off to the "big" fireworks at my brother's house when it turned dark.

Riley has never been very interested in the "big" fireworks, and it takes everything just to get her to pay attention to them, and she has been that way since she was born. Riley's attitude toward the fireworks are, "eh, impressive." On the other hand, she loves to do the street fireworks...do I have a firebug on my hands?

Family Pictures:

Later in July, we decided to get together will all of Chris' immediate family and have family pictures taken. It was a stressful day for some reason, as noted in other family blogs, but I think the pictures turned out okay. For some reason, my families pictures did not turn out too great, but that is okay. Riley is wearing her Easter dress that I sewed (with a little help from Jennifer, Chris' sister). We will have to have OUR family picture taken again, this one just did not do (we looked uncomfortable).
