Give me five....huh?

Recently, there has been something on my mind...a problem with something I just couldn't quite figure out. Chris and I have been working on this "little" problem for about a month now. Well, life went on, as it usually does, but this problem was always in the back of my mind. Needless to say, I wanted a solution really bad!

Well, the other night (and I hate to admit it) Chris finally came up with that solution. I simply looked at Chris and said in my mommy voice, "Give me five!" Yes, really, my hand was extended and everything. Picture this....Chris' mouth open, brows furrowed, and an "okay, my wife is weird," look on his face. Our eyes met, and it was one of those awkward silences....like when you are on a first date and someone lets gas.

Chris humored me with a light "five", but we both slowly backed away from one another with a "we will never speak of this again" look. I was just so excited to have this problem figured out that I forgot I was not with Riley, but my 37-year-old husband. Oops. Slight mind lapse.

Poor Chris....he is married to a 5-year-old.

  1. No worries! I think we've all been there. I did something similar to Kirt, but it was my teacher voice...yeah he pretty much thought I was insane. I guess it comes with the profession for me?
