Book Group, a great escape!

Book group is great! We meet every month and discuss a book that we chose the prior month (Breaking Dawn, last month....it was great!) It is great to actually have a conversation without the words "potty, little mermaid, did you wash your hands, why, do you need a time out, or even...stop that" in it. It is great to get together with 7-8 very intelligent women (granted I hang out with a 5-year-old all day), no offense!

So, anyway, I have been asked several times what books we read at book group. Well, I was thinking last night that it would be great to have a online book group (for those of you that can't quite get out to your own.) I was thinking that I will post the book we are reading for the month, and we can comment about the books whenever; that way you can read some really cool books, and never have to leave the house (unless you want)! Plus, it will be an opportunity for us to "hang out" without "hanging out."

This month we are reading a book suggested by Trudy. The title of the book is Silas Marner by George Eliot. I have included a "Free Ebooks Search Engine" on my blog. All you have to do is type in the title of the book and/or author. The search engine will bring up where you can download a free copy of the book to read. You can also download an audio version for your MP3 player, or even burn a copy for the car. However, you can just get a copy at the library too!

I would love to discuss these books with all you guys, so please, give it a try. It is a great way for us to use our brains.....before I turn into Zoe on Sesame Street (however, she does know her alphabet, and her manners....). Please, let me know if you have any questions, or if you want to discuss anything! I can't wait to hear from you!

P.S. Next month we are reading Frankenstein by Mary Shelly.
